These crispy tacos are next level. They’re one of my favorite weeknight recipes to make as they’re easily customizable for everyone to enjoy, and made with wholesome ingredients. Not to mention, they make great leftovers for those busy weeks.

Pro tip: if you make tacos as often as we do, I highly recommend making a batch of my homemade taco seasoning to keep in your spice cabinet. I love these jars to store the seasoning in!

Ultimate Crunchy Tacos

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 2 lbs ground beef grass-fed
  • ¼ cup Homemade Taco Seasoning Mix
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ medium yellow onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 5 organic tortillas

Preferred Toppings

  • salsa
  • gaucamole
  • sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • cilantro
  • chives

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, drizzle the avocado oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef.
  • Break up the ground beef while cooking until browned. Drain the grease. Preheat the oven to 400℉.
  • Add the homemade taco seasoning mix and water, mixing well. Bring to a simmer for 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
  • While the beef is cooking, prepare your preferred sides.
  • When ready, fill your tortillas with the taco meat, placing them onto a baking sheet when done. Fold over, placing a separate baking sheet on top, to ensure both sides become crispy.
  • Place in the oven for 5-10 minutes, or until your level of crispiness is reached.
  • Allow to cool, then add your favorite toppings. Enjoy!
