Whenever we’re in the need for a quick meal that tastes delicious, this chicken fajita recipe is usually one of the first recipes that come to mind. With just a few basic ingredients and less than 30 minutes to make, this recipe has easily become one of my go-to recipes for those busy weeks!

Chicken Fajita Ingredients

All you need is chicken, onion, peppers, avocado oil, and some seasonings, plus tortillas and your favorite toppings. If you have a busy week ahead, I recommend doubling the recipe, as these chicken fajitas taste just as good as leftovers!

How to Make Easy & Flavorful Chicken Fajitas

If you’re looking for a quick weeknight dinner, this recipe is it! Just follow the steps below to create a delicious family meal under 30 minutes.

  1. Add the paprika, oregano, parsley, sea salt and black pepper to a small mixing bowl and stir together.
  2. Generously sprinkle the seasonings on both sides of the chicken.
  3. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear the chicken breasts for about 7-8 minutes on each side, or until an internal temperature of 165℉ is reached.
  4. While your chicken is cooking, cut the bell peppers and onion into thin slices.
  5. Add the bell peppers and onion to another skillet over medium-high heat and sauté for 4-5 minutes, stirring frequently. Add the remaining seasonings and mix well.
  6. When ready, slice the chicken breasts into strips.
  7. Serve immediately with tortillas and extra toppings such as avocado, cowboy caviar, and spicy pico de gallo. Enjoy!
