With so many wonderful things to do in the summertime, I’m listing 7 of my favorite, fun & adventurous summer date night ideas below!
If you’re looking to spice up your weeknight routine, here are my favorite date night ideas that add some excitement to any mundane work week.
My favorite weeknight themed meals include taco Tuesday, Italian night, and an outdoor BBQ. Do everything from creating the menu, writing out the grocery list, grocery shopping, to preparing the meal together. Who says date nights can’t also be productive?!
Taco Tuesday: mango avocado salsa, guacamole, tacos, nachos, carnitas, spicy margs, classic lime marg
Italian Night: bruschetta, rosemary bread, side salad, spaghetti, garlic butter baked chicken, homemade pizza
Outdoor BBQ: watermelon basil salad, potato salad, cowboy caviar, teriyaki kebab, Greek-inspired kebabs
Depending on your location, visiting a local winery or brewery can be a fun weeknight date, as long as you stick with the two-beverage rule: no more than two alcoholic beverages to prevent the next day hangover.
While at the winery, share a charcuterie board; or share a flight of beer and a pretzel at a local brewery.
Not only can you get all dressed up and fancy, you can also try new foods you usually wouldn’t make at home. If you love the food you consume, take notes and try remaking it at home. Many of my recipe inspirations come from trying new foods when going out to eat! Have you tried my spicy beef pad Thai bowl yet?
Looking for some more adventurous activities to do on the weekend?
Both Kraig and I’s love language is quality time. And to be honest, is there anything better than spending time with loved ones in the great outdoors?
Be sure to pack accordingly based on what activities you like to do while camping. Whether that’s having a bonfire with smores, watching the sunset, doing some stargazing, watching the sunrise with a cup of coffee, hiking, swimming, or simply just relaxing in a hammock reading a good book.
All you need is a blanket, some food, a few drinks, and a great view.
One of my favorite summertime activities is getting out on the water. Whether that’s tubing down the river, swimming off a dock, paddleboarding, kayaking or boating, there is honestly nothing better than a day on the lake! Just be sure to use sun balm to prevent a sunburn.
Most communities will have parades, free concerts, community events, farmers markets, and races you can partake in throughout the summer months. This not only is a fun date night, it’s a great way to meet new friends in your area.
