This Homemade Pizza Dough creates a light and fluffy crust, perfect for any pizza night! Just add the toppings of your choice and enjoy!
This recipe is one of my favorites as it is easy, quick, and fun to make. All it requires are six ingredients, plus toppings!
Tip: Mix the active dry yeast in warm water (110°F-115°F) and allow the mixture to sit for ten minutes. This will allow the yeast to dissolve properly.
Next, combine the flours and salt in a medium sized bowl. I tend to favor the combination of organic spelt flour and organic hard red wheat flour as it provides several vitamins and minerals including selenium, phosphorus, and folate, without creating a dense pizza crust.
Be creative with the toppings you choose, all opportunities are open! Some of my go-to toppings include the following combinations listed below:
Add other spices, herbs or seasonings you enjoy for increased flavor. There is a topping combination to enjoy for everyone!
If making the pizza dough beforehand, store it in an airtight container that is oiled with extra virgin olive oil, this will prevent the dough from drying out. Then place the pizza dough in the refrigerator for up to 3-5 days.
If you need to freeze the dough, you may store it for up to three months in an airtight container.
Looks Absolutely Delicious
Can’t wait to make it.
