The Sweet Summertime Teriyaki Kebab Marinade is a flavorful combination of delectable ingredients used to soak and tenderize your choice of steak, chicken, or shrimp.

Fresh Veggies and Fruit to Include Using the Teriyaki Kebab Marinade

A wide array of veggies and fruit may be used when creating your kebabs. Be creative with the combination!

Cut the veggies and fruit of your choice into one-inch pieces. Cut them small, as they will cook for the same amount of time as the meat.

You may marinate the veggies and fruit within the Sweet Summertime Teriyaki Kebab Marinade for a few hours to soak up the flavor. Or, you may mix the produce in some avocado oil, salt, and black pepper, until they are evenly coated and place immediately on the kebob – this will save you time if perhaps you forget to marinate the produce prior to placing the kebabs on the grill (as I sometimes do 😅).

How Long Should You Marinate the Ingredients?

You may marinate the meat and produce the night before, or four to six hours before you cook the kebabs. Keep in mind the longer you marinate the meat, the more flavorful and tender it will become.

Ingredients

Sweet Summertime Teriyaki Kebab Marinade

  • 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tablespoons coconut aminos
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons garlic minced
  • ½ cup water

Steak Teriyaki Kebabs

  • Sweet Summertime Teriyaki Kebab Marinade
  • 1 pound sirloin steak pasture raised
  • your choice of produce

Chicken Teriyaki Kebabs

  • Sweet Summertime Teriyaki Kebab Marinade
  • 1 pound chicken breast pasture raised
  • your choice of produce

Shrimp Teriyaki Kebabs

  • Sweet Summertime Teriyaki Kebab Marinade
  • 1 pound shrimp Alaskan, Wild Caught
  • your choice of produce

Instructions

  • For the marinade: combine all ingredients in a medium sized bowl, mix well.
  • Cut your choice of meat into one-inch pieces and place within a gallon-sized resealable bag, pouring the marinade into the bag. Let the meat marinade refrigerated overnight, or for four to six hours. If making shrimp kebabs, discard the shell and veins before adding to the marinade.
  • Cut the veggies and fruit into bite-sized pieces, making them small enough so they cook on the grill in a short amount of time. You may either marinade the veggies and fruit with the Teriyaki Kebab Marinade, or you may drizzle them with avocado oil, salt and black pepper. Let them marinade refrigerated overnight, or for four to six hours.
  • If you're using wood skewers, soak them in water while the meat and produce are marinating so they do not burn.
  • When the meat and produce are done marinating, begin assembling the kebabs. Have fun with this step! There is no correct order in which the meat, veggies, and fruit should be placed.
  • For the Steak Teriyaki Kebabs and Chicken Teriyaki Kebabs, place them on the grill for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through. If you are making the Shrimp Teriyaki Kebabs, grill the shrimp on separate kebabs as they will only require 2-3 minutes on each side. Enjoy!
