How to Prepare this Lemon and Basil Mocktail

This mocktail is one of my favorite beverages to enjoy during a hot summer day. The lemon juice provides a tart flavor, while the basil brings in a sweet, yet slightly spicy taste.

To prepare this mocktail, just a couple simple steps are required.

  1. Place a few basil leaves in the bottom of a glass. Juice the lemon, muddling both the lemon juice and basil leaves together.
  2. Add a handful of ice cubes, then pour over the sparkling water. Garnish with additional basil and lemon wedges if desired.

That’s all there is to it! I love making this mocktail when I have homemade spaghetti on our dinner menu. This drink is a great way to use up fresh basil leaves before they go bad!

Mocktails provide hydration, added nutrients, flavor, and a make for a fun addition to any brunch, baby shower, or backyard wedding. If you’re looking for other mocktail options, I love the classic Sunset Sweets Mocktail and Appletini Mocktail – not only are they delicious and easy to make, they add great color to any table spread! The Sweet Dreams Cherry Mocktail is another beverage I would recommend as a delicious nightcap that can be used to promote a good night’s sleep.
