Best Ingredients Used to Make this BLAT Sandwich

What makes this recipe different from others are the high quality ingredients used. I prefer using Chosen Foods classic mayo and Dave’s Killer Bread as the clean ingredient lists are impeccable on both items! If you make this recipe during the summer months, you can also head to your closest Farmer’s Market to purchase some fresh tomatoes, lettuce, and sourdough bread.

When searching for a fresh, ripe avocado, gently squeeze it. If it is soft to touch, but not too mushy, it’s ready. It will also have a dark green to nearly black color with a bumpy texture.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices bacon pasture raised
  • 1 slice tomato sliced
  • 4 slices avocado mashed
  • 1 leaf lettuce
  • 1 tablespoon mayo
  • 2 slices Dave's Killer Bread

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400° F. Line a baking tray with tinfoil, then place the bacon side-by-side on the tray. Be sure to spread it out, preventing the layering of bacon slices on top of each other.
  • Cook the bacon for 18-20 minutes or until it's reached your desired level of crispiness. Remove the tray from the oven and transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate.
  • Toast your bread. Slather some mayo on one slice of bread, and mashed avocado on the other slice.
  • Layer on slices of bacon, tomato, and lettuce. Enjoy!
