Nanny’s Brandy Manhattan Cocktail recipe is low-key one of my favorite alcoholic beverages. My only word of advice, however, is to limit yourself to only one or two. 😂
The typical Manhattan cocktail recipe is made with whiskey. However, as the recipe title mentions, this is my grandma’s recipe. Hence the swap from whiskey to brandy! We typically make this recipe for most holidays as it not only is super simple to make, it also tastes delicious.
With both the brandy produced by distilling wine, and vermouth an aromatized fortified wine, this beverage is on the sweeter side. Top it with a few Maraschino cherries or an orange slice for a fun cocktail garnish!
If you want to get fancy, combine the brandy liquor, vermouth, and cherry juice within a cocktail shaker, shaking until well-chilled. Pour within a drinking glass and top with cherries or an orange slice.
OR, feel free to add ice to your drinking glass, combining all ingredients, then stirring well. Either works.
Looking for other fun and tasty alcoholic beverages to make? Some of my favorite beverages not only include this Manhattan, but also a Moscow mule, margarita, and old fashioned!
If you’re looking for non-alcoholic beverages, try out my Appletini Mocktail or Sunset Sweets Mocktail.
Came across her blog from an Instagram link and figured I’d try this drink, it’s pretty strong but delicious And she’s right you only need 1 LOL
