Can we normalize this conversation for a minute? Y Can we normalize this conversation for a minute? Yes, broken sleep makes for long, tiring days. But sometimes the exhaustion in early motherhood isn’t just about how many hours you’re sleeping each night.

Sometimes it’s:
- eating your toddler’s leftovers instead of a nourishing meal
- running on caffeine just to get through your day
- constantly multitasking while still feeling behind
- interruptions and always being needed by everyone
- pushing through because somewhere along the way, we learned that’s just what moms do

If most weeks you feel exhausted and nothing seems to help, it doesn’t mean you’re doing motherhood wrong. It likely means your body needs more support, not more pressure.

This is why I’m so passionate about empowering moms to refill their cups in a way that fits inside motherhood.

Not Pinterest-perfect routines
Not bounce-back culture
Not guilt for not doing it all while being fully present with your kids

If this feels familiar, hey, I’m Abigail Jean - a boy mom, dietitian and personal trainer sharing tips that have helped me build realistic systems that fit within the chaos of motherhood 🫶🏼
you finally sit down to eat, and don’t finish it you finally sit down to eat, and don’t finish it

your day begins to feel more chaotic, and you’re becoming more exhausted as the day goes by. as a mom myself, I understand days like this. where it seems like whatever you do, a task doesn’t seem to be completed, even something as simple as eating a meal. this is why eating can feel so hard in this season

so instead of following rigid rules, we focus on flexibility. eating a charcuterie-style meal throughout the afternoon still counts. even if it takes longer than it used to

if this feels like your days lately - you’re not alone🤍this is exactly what I help moms simplify
If you’re in early motherhood and feeling overwhel If you’re in early motherhood and feeling overwhelmed with what to feed yourself and your family, keep this in mind to simplify things👇🏼

Build your plates around protein first, add in carbs (fruit, toast, oats), and include a source of fats 🍳🍓🥑

That might look like an egg sandwich with a side of fruit or a Greek yogurt bowl topped with fruit and granola

Nutrition doesn’t have to be complicated. It has to be something you can actually follow through in this season

This is exactly what I walk moms through inside Building a Nourishing Foundation. If you want to learn more about my program, DM me Foundation 🫶🏼

You don’t realize what she gave you until you look You don’t realize what she gave you until you look back. 🫶🏻 #AUpartner

It’s in the photos you almost forgot, the moments that felt ordinary at the time, but shaped everything. The love, the care, the way she held it all together in the messy, chaotic moments of real life.

She made the ordinary feel like something worth remembering. From the homemade birthday cakes each year, to the shoulder to cry on, and the words of wisdom I still carry with me.

Mom, I remember… and I understand now why you did everything you did. To the best mom in the world. 🤍

I created an Everyday Photo Book to hold those moments, our Colorado adventures, the in-between, the everyday, and something meant to be kept out and revisited.

It’s only a small act of thanks for everything our moms have given us.

I’m a dietitian, and early motherhood still catche I’m a dietitian, and early motherhood still catches me off guard.

I knew what to eat. I understood habits.
But this season didn’t really fit into any of that.

I didn’t have the same time, energy, or consistency I was used to. And for a while, I honestly thought I just needed to try harder.

But that wasn’t it.

I needed something that actually fit my life now. Something simpler, more flexible, something I could come back to. Even on the days that felt off.

And that shift changed more than I expected.

It’s also what I keep coming back to with the moms I work with. Not more information, just a way of doing things that actually works in this season.

So if you’ve been feeling like nothing is really sticking lately - you’re not the only one.

This is exactly where I was in the beginning, and where most moms I work with start 🤍

tahini chocolate chip cookies 🍪 been baking these tahini chocolate chip cookies 🍪 been baking these on repeat lately 🫶🏼 they’re like a chocolate chip cookie, but better >> if you make them, let me know what you think!

*doubled the recipe when filming*

Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 12-14 minutes

Servings: 12 cookies

Ingredients
½ cup butter, room temperature, this is key!
1 cup coconut sugar
1 egg, room temperature
½ cup tahini
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ½ cup flour
½ teaspoon baking soda
1 cup mini chocolate chips
1 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment.
2. In a bowl, cream together butter and coconut sugar until smooth and slightly fluffy (about 1–2 minutes).
3. Mix in the egg, tahini, and vanilla extract, combining well.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda. Gradually add to the wet ingredients. Mix until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
5. Scoop the dough using a 2-tablespoon scoop and place on a baking sheet. Lightly press the tops and sprinkle with flaky sea salt. Bake for 12 minutes, longer if you prefer a crunchier cookie.
6. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 10–15 minutes before transferring. Enjoy!
doing everything right but still feel off? 😴 you’r doing everything right but still feel off? 😴 you’re trying to eat well, stay active, take care of yourself…but your energy still feels low and by the end of the day you’re completely drained

a lot of the time, it’s not just what you’re doing, it’s the mental load, constant decisions, and interrupted routines keep your nervous system “on,” which affects energy, mood, and even sleep

your body doesn’t feel off because you’re doing it wrong, it feels off because it doesn’t feel supported

that’s why I focus on things like steady meals, simple snacks, getting outside, and small resets that lower the load throughout the day

because in this season, support matters more than perfection

come hang out if this is your kind of pace 🫶🏼
