My favorite places in Milwaukee – a lively city packed with summer festivals, stunning views, and diverse cultures.

The best places to eat in Milwaukee, WI.

After working in Third Ward for two years, I’ve come to know the ins and outs of the area. Here are a few of my favorite places and things to do in this vivacious city.

My Favorite Places to Eat in Milwaukee

The Outsider – this is hands down my favorite place in Milwaukee. The views are absolutely stunning and the food is delicious!

Cafe Corazon – rated best Mexican restaurant several years in a row.

Sweet Diner – a favorited brunch destination.

Café Benelux – if you are visiting in the summertime, I highly recommend sitting on their rooftop for a beautiful view.

Rare Steakhouse – if you’re looking for a more upscale restaurant, this is the place! The food was delicious and the service was great.

Harbor House – enjoy some seafood with a stunning view of downtown Milwaukee.

Blue Bat Kitchen & Tequilaria – be sure to get the fried brussels sprouts!

Amilinda – a cute restaurant with flavorful dishes.

Ardent – serves some pretty spectacular dishes.

Odd Duck – choose from a variety of internationally inspired dishes.

Pizza Man – can’t go wrong with a slice of pizza and a cold glass of beer.

Breweries & Distilleries to Visit

Miller Brewery Tour – one of our favorite brewery tours we’ve done!

Lakefront Brewery – enjoy a beer with a stunning view of the Milwaukee River.

Twisted Path Distillery – organic and gluten free distillery.

City Lights Brewing – enjoy a variety of IPAs and lagers on their outdoor patio.

MKE Brewing Co – have you tried Outboard?! Hands down one of my top five favorite beers.

Dead Bird Brewing – an eclectic space with good beer and good food.

Good City Brewing – highly encourage you to watch the Bucks here if you can’t make it to the game!

Cool & Unique Things To Do

Go to a Milwaukee Bucks game at the Fiserv Forum. Be sure to go early to enjoy everything the Deer District has to offer!

Watch the Brewers play at American Family Field.

Historic Third Ward – I worked in Third Ward for two years and I cannot recommend this area enough! There are so many cute shops, restaurants and bars to explore.

Milwaukee Public Market – checkout all the different vendors and grab a bite to eat.

The Milwaukee Riverwalk – enjoy the stunning views of Milwaukee with lots of shops and restaurants to stop at along the way.

Milwaukee Art Museum – attend a yoga class at the Milwaukee Art Museum!

Glorioso’s Italian Market – experience an Italian culinary cooking class in the heart of Milwaukee.

Purple Door – enjoy some ice cream at the famous Purple Door Ice Cream!

If you’re looking to go out for the night, Brady Street is the place to be.

Go to an event at the Pabst Theater.

Kayak down the Milwaukee River.

Go to the Safe House for a drink – good luck getting in. 😉

Attend a festival in the City of Festivals!
