Vacationing in Beautiful Cabo San Lucas

Vacationing in Cabo San Lucas is the perfect, luxurious getaway. Nestled between the ocean and mountains, there are beautiful views all-around. We went with another couple from college and let’s just say, this trip did not disappoint.

We visited Cabo in early December. This seemed to be the perfect time as temperatures ranged between 75-85° F with the sun shining every day. Whale watching season is also during early December through April, so we were fortunate enough to watch whales breach during our days in Mexico.

The Ultimate Cabo San Lucas Itinerary

Listed below are seven must-dos when vacationing in Cabo San Lucas.

  1. Watch the sunrises and sunsets – let’s not forget how beautiful some of the most simple things in life can be!
  2. Visit The Arches of Cabo San Lucas for the iconic destination photo.
  3. Go snorkeling. We did the option that included lunch and an open bar (which came in handy for some liquid encouragement 😂).
  4. ATV and Offroading – we didn’t do this during our time in Cabo. However, others have mentioned this was a fun experience and provided a different perspective on the beauty of Cabo.
  5. Explore the flea markets, restaurants and shops in downtown Cabo. We felt safe while roaming around. However, before it started to get dark we made sure to be back at our resort.
  6. Lay in the sun at Medano Beach and swim in the Sea of Cortez.
  7. Visit the Marina to enjoy the views, or stop to grab a bite to eat! Just be ready for all the street vendors.

Where To Eat in Cabo San Lucas

We did the all-inclusive package at our resort, so we mainly ate at their restaurants. However, with our all-inclusive deal, we were also able to eat at restaurants located at the sister resorts – Pueblo Bonito Rosé and Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos. I highly, highly recommend stopping at Cilantro’s Restaurant for dinner. We reserved a table for 5pm both nights we ate there; this was perfect timing as we were able to choose what table we sat at, while also enjoying the spectacular views before, during, and after the sun went down.

Outpost located in downtown Cabo serves harvested vegetables, herbs, and sprouts that are grown on their rooftop garden.

Flora Farms is a beautiful 25-acre organic farm, located about 35-minutes from downtown Cabo.

Acre is about a five minute drive from Flora Farms. The aesthetics of this restaurant are insane. 😍

Cabo Wabo Cantina is one place that was recommended by many due to the live music entertainment and delicious mexican cuisine.

The Office is located right on Medano Bay serving everything from breakfast to dinners meals with live events each week from live jazz bands to piñatas dances.

If you aren’t planning to stay at Las Ventanas Al Paraiso, I highly recommend visiting for a beautiful dinner with stunning views.

We ate a variety of foods including guacamole, ceviche, tuna tartar, sushi, steak, crab cakes, togarashi squid, shrimp, octopus, fish and picana tacos, smoked salmon, and on and on. The food was delicious! We also drank enough pina coladas, miami vices, mojitos, and margaritas to last a few months. 😅

Top Six Places To Stay

We stayed at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach which was about a 45-minute drive from the airport. The resort is located on the western side of the tip of Baja, illustrating spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean. Unfortunately, no swimming in the ocean is allowed due to strong currents along the coastline. However, there are six pools and a variety of restaurants to enjoy – there truly is a pool and restaurant for everyone!

We also had access to the sister resorts, Pueblo Bonito Rosé and Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos which are two other resorts I recommend.

Nobu Hotel is a 30-minute drive from downtown but has a beautiful, serene elegance to it.

The Cape is a 20-minute drive from downtown and overlooks the Sea of Cortez with the famous arches in the background.

Las Ventanas Al Paraiso is an absolutely stunning resort with beautiful dining options!
