Prioritizing the reduction of endocrine disrupting chemicals such as BPA and phthalates, and PFAs which are man-made chemicals, is crucial as they have been linked to infertility, cancer, and obesity. But making your home healthier can become an overwhelming task. Which is why I wrote this post to guide you on exactly what we’re doing to reduce the amount of toxins in our home.
Rounding up all my favorite products that help to reduce toxins in our home.
An easy way to quickly reduce toxins within your home is to simply remove your shoes in the mudroom. Shoes may contain pesticides, dust, bacteria, and viruses – it’s best to take your shoes off before walking through your home and tracking it all in.
The kitchen is by far my favorite room in the home. However, it’s easy to find many common products containing chemicals.
Simplicity is key when it comes to these two rooms.
There’s nothing better than a cozy bedroom that’s both calm and serene.
Be sure to dust and vacuum frequently, as this is key to removing excess dust, pollen, and pet dander. A simple mixture to use as a natural cleaner is ½ cup Dr. Bronner’s castile soap, ½ cup cleaning vinegar, and a few lemon slices and rosemary sprigs. This can be used to wash dishes, do laundry, mop, clean toilets, and more.
