Ever wonder how to make dried citrus, without a dehydrator? Review the blog post below to learn how!
Any citrus fruit can be dried in the oven. The process is the same for all! Specific to this blog post, I dried oranges, limes, and lemons. However, you may also dry grapefruit and the endless variety of lemons, limes, and oranges!
When making your own dehydrated citrus in the oven, evenly and thinly slice the fruit. Be mindful that the thicker the slice, the longer it will need to stay in the oven to dry out. With the differences in circumference, grapefruit will generally take around 5 hours in the oven to dry out completely, while the smaller lemon and limes generally take around 2-3 hours.
There are a multitude of fun ways to incorporate dehydrated citrus fruits. Here is a list of some of my favorite ways to incorporate these fun, pops of color!
