This Black Magic Witches Brew Sangria is the perfect addition to a Halloween themed party. Not to mention, the witches brew sangria is to die for. 💀
This sangria is simple to make. All that needs to be done is to wash the fruit, pour the liquids together, add your fruit, and let the sangria sit overnight to allow all the delicious flavors to mix. When you’re ready to serve your beverage, be sure to add some of the witches brew flavored fruit to each glass!
We served this beverage with our spooky Halloween charcuterie board, and let’s just say, it was a hit!
The step that takes the longest for preparing this beverage is washing your fruit. I recommend purchasing organic produce on the dirty dozen list, to help reduce the amount of glyphosate consumed, a common pesticide used in American agricultural practices. However, I recommend using this cleaning technique for washing your produce whether you purchase organic or not.
For produce where you peel the skin away, rinsing them under warm water will help to remove any extra debris. For produce where you consume the skin such as berries, apples, carrots, and pears, I recommend soaking them in a water and vinegar solution – 1 cup water to ¼ cup vinegar. Vinegar is a natural bacteria killer, making it a great cleaner to use when washing produce. After soaking for 10-15 minutes, transfer the produce to a colander, and thoroughly rinse. This is extremely important as the vinegar may leave a distant taste. If you want to learn more on how to properly clean fresh produce, you can review my blog post here.
After you have thoroughly rinsed your fruit, add it to your sangria for a sweet addition!
