The most delicious homemade creamy mashed potatoes.

Ingredients Used to Make these Mashed Potatoes

I love making these mashed potatoes as a side to a variety of meals, especially for our yearly Christmas Day meal. And the best part? All you need is seven ingredients to make these irresistible Creamy Mashed Potatoes.

  1. Baby red potatoes are a versatile vegetable that contain a good amount of fiber, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Feel free to also swap for russet potatoes!
  2. Milk adds the perfect creamy texture. I prefer using whole milk, as it exemplifies both the flavor and texture within this recipe.
  3. Butter adds to the richness. I recommend purchasing grass fed, unsalted butter.
  4. Garlic clove adds the perfect, garlicky flavor!
  5. Sea salt brings out the flavor of all ingredients used within these mashed potatoes.
  6. Chives and parsley add the perfect finishing touch to this delectable recipe.

How to Prepare these Creamy Mashed Potatoes

  1. Scrub the potatoes and dice into large chunks. I recommend leaving the skin on, to add to the texture.
  2. Fill a pot with water, drop the potatoes in and let them boil for 15 minutes, or until they’re fork-tender.
  3. Drain the water and add in the milk, butter, garlic, and sea salt. Mash the potatoes until you have reached your desired consistency. Garnish with chopped chives and parsley. Enjoy!

These Creamy Mashed Potatoes make great leftovers. Store them in a glass container for 4 to 5 days in the fridge.
