How to Make the Best Stovetop Popcorn

I may be biased, but this popcorn really is THE best. With its crunchy texture and umami flavor, I personally think stovetop popcorn is better than any movie theater buttered popcorn.

Not many ingredients are needed to make this recipe. However, you can change up the oil for a different flavor, if preferred. I generally tend to use avocado oil. But you may also use coconut oil for a more sweet flavored popcorn kernel.

Is Popcorn a Healthy Snack?

Did you know popcorn is considered a whole grain food? Because of this, popcorn is a highly nutritious snack packed with fiber and a variety of vitamins and minerals. Just be mindful of the amount of butter and sea salt you add as a topping, as the extra calories and sodium can add up quickly!

On a side note, I love adding this popcorn as a topping to my Hearty Beef Vegetable Chili recipe. It’s the perfect, cozy combination!
