Sharing a FREE wedding planning checklist on how to plan your perfect wedding! Including what to do one year before your wedding, to a checklist of things to do after.
After planning both a small intimate backyard wedding and a separate reception one-year later, I wanted to put together a guide that reviews things to do before the wedding, to tasks to complete after the wedding. This guide is what helped me plan both parties, to ensure both days went as smoothly as possible.
Below is a free downloadable you can print off and use as a checklist as you plan your perfect wedding. It will walk you through major tasks to complete 10-12 months before your wedding, including tasks such as touring and reserving ceremony and reception sites to discussing budget, size, and style. To six months before your wedding day, with tasks such as reserving your florist to menu testing. To one-week before, with tasks including checking in with your vendors to planning snacks and refreshments while getting ready the day of. And lastly, to after your wedding, with tasks of working on your name change to sending out thank you notes.
If you’re looking for inspiration, I highly encourage creating a wedding mood board on Pinterest. I personally created several mood boards, including one for both hair & make-up, which helped me organize all my thoughts and visions in one area. I highly encourage doing this, as it does get overwhelming picking out all the wedding day details! Mood boards can truly help your vision come to life, while keeping your thoughts organized.
When it comes to wedding planning, remember to have fun. Planning a wedding is meant to be focused around the fact that you will be spending the rest of your life with the one you love. Don’t get all caught up in the stresses of planning. Enjoy the process!
Cheers to all the future wifeys out there! 🥂🤍
