The ultimate travel guide for San Diego – a stunning city located in the southern part of California.

We visited San Diego in late January for part of our babymoon trip; the temperatures ranged from 65-70° F most days. If you’re looking for the warmest weather in San Diego, I’d recommend visiting between July and October.

Best Places to Eat in San Diego

Sharing some of my favorite restaurants in my ultimate travel guide for San Diego.

Coasterra Modern Mexican – Mexican and seafood served with a stunning view of San Diego’s skyline.
Herb & Wood – serving mediterranean styled foods.
Seneca – Italian and seafood served with beautiful views – be sure to sit outside if possible.
Marisi – menus are based on season and local harvest.
Rare Society – a steakhouse with a moody ambiance.
Sushi Maru – if you’re looking for a sushi experience, this is the place!
Pony Room – located on the stunning Rancho Valencia resort.
Cucina Enoteca – we had some of the best pasta here! The meals we had here are shown in the first photo below.
Vaga – I would recommend valet parking as it will be cheaper than parking in the beach parking lot. The food is okay but the views are stunning! This would be a great place to watch the sunset and enjoy some cocktails.
Born & Raised – a steakhouse with a Great Gatsby vibe.
Jeune & Jolie – an elegant, modern French Restaurant.
Fifth & Rose – located in The Pendry Hotel with an elegant atmosphere. They serve cocktails and a very limited menu.
Luce – a beautiful outdoor seating area. The pizza in the photo below was from here.

What to do in San Diego

San Diego is the second largest city in California, and eight largest city in the United States. With that being said, there is undoubtedly something to do here for everyone!

San Diego Zoo – this can be a fun activity for the entire family to enjoy.
Balboa Park – a vibrant cultural oasis located just blocks from downtown San Diego.
Old Town – a popular destination packed with shops, restaurants, culture, and history.
La Jolla – this was one of our favorite spots – La Jolla is a coastal village known as “the jewel” of San Diego. It’s packed with shops, restaurants, and stunning views. Be sure to keep an eye out for the sea lions!
Harbor Island – offers stunning views of San Diego.
