No Bake Energy Bite Variations

Many variations of no bake energy bites exist. Experiment with the ingredients you have in your pantry and make up your own creation!

When creating a new variation of no bake energy bites, three ingredients are required. These base ingredients include a main filling such as sprouted rolled oats, a nut butter to bind the ingredients, and a liquid sweetener such as maple syrup or honey to increase sweetness.

Prep Time15 minutes
Freeze30 minutes
Course: Snack
Cuisine: American
Servings: 10

Ingredients

  • ½ cup organic peanut butter melted
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • ¼ cup water
  • ¼ cup pumpkin seeds ground
  • ¼ cup dark chocolate ground
  • ¼ cup slivered almonds ground
  • ½ cup organic flour
  • 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed
  • 1 cup sprouted rolled oats

Instructions

  • Combine the peanut butter, maple syrup, and water into a medium sized bowl.
  • Grind pumpkin seeds, dark chocolate, and almonds until fine (I use a coffee grinder).
  • Once ground, add the pumpkin seeds, dark chocolate, and almonds into the medium sized bowl with wet ingredients.
  • Add in the flour, flaxseed, and rolled oats. Be sure to combine well – I find it easier to mix the combination with my hands.
  • Roll mixed ingredients into one-inch diameter balls. Place on a cookie sheet and freeze for 30 minutes.
  • Store in an airtight container in the freezer for 1-2 weeks. Enjoy!

Notes

I prefer to store my energy bites in the freezer for a frozen treat. However, you may also store in the fridge for 1-2 weeks for a chewier snack. Enjoy!
