Sharing my clean beauty routine using a non-toxic beauty brand. Discussing what clean beauty is, what toxic ingredients to avoid, and the organic skincare products that are pro-nourishment I highly recommend!
With the beauty industry promoting the use of toxic products including shampoos and conditioners, hair dyes, perfumes, scented lotions, nail polish, and makeup, it’s crucial for the buyer to be reviewing ingredient lists to truly understand what they’re putting on their body.
Clean beauty is also referred to as non-toxic beauty. Non-toxic beauty products are free of harmful chemicals such as parabens, phthalates, sulfates, and synthetic fragrances. However, it is known that many well known beauty products contain ingredients linked to a variety of health problems including cancer and endocrine disruption.
Skin is our largest organ. Doesn’t it make sense to use clean, pro-nourishing everyday products?
Many of the ingredients found within beauty products are known carcinogens and have been shown to be the cause of birth defects, reproductive toxicity, ovarian cancer, skin irritation, allergy and asthma triggers, and endocrine disruptors, to name a few. Here is a short list of toxic ingredients to be mindful of when purchasing beauty products:
As always, I highly, highly recommend reviewing the ingredient list on all products you’re purchasing. Not only does that go for beauty products, but also house cleaning products, food, and beverages!
Unlike what society has convinced us, we don’t need a bathroom drawer full of makeup, lotions, and face masks. We only need a few good skincare products that contain ingredients to nourish our bodies.
Which is why I want to introduce you to Toups & Co! It’s a family owned company that focuses on:
Each one of their beauty products uses high-quality ingredients that have been shown to improve both skin’s health and appearance.
I use Toups & Co products within both my morning and nighttime skincare routines. I swear these products have not only hydrated my skin throughout the year, but their products have also helped to clear up stubborn acne.
After showering, I will use a dime-sized amount of Seabuckthorn cleansing oil to gently massage over my entire face. Next, I will use this Led face mask on either the red or blue light to help reduce wrinkle appearance and increase collagen production, or to treat acne. Following this step, I will use about five drops of the glow serum, massaging into my skin until completely absorbed. Then Frankincense face balm to add another layer of hydration throughout the day. I also use all of Toups and Co’s makeup – I’m a huge fan of their concealer, blush and bronzer! I also use their mascara. However, it does take quite a few coats to get an adequate amount on your eyelashes.
If I plan to be outside during the day for hours on end, I will make sure to put on a layer of sun balm. And let’s be real, not every day is a hair washing day. So on days that my hair needs a pick me up, I will use some of their dry shampoo.
For my nighttime routine, I’ll use about five drops of the glow serum, massaging into my skin until completely absorbed. Then using Frankincense face balm to add another layer of hydration. I will also use tallow (sweet girl smells like flowers, and vanilla + almond smells like a cinnamon roll) and body oil to keep my skin hydrated. I swear this combo can help to rejuvenate any level of dry skin!
