Aspen has easily become one of our favorite mountain towns in Colorado. Everywhere you look are stunning views of the surrounding, awe-inspiring Rocky Mountains. If you’re planning a visit, be mindful of mud season during late April through early May, and late October through early November. Most restaurants and stores will be closed during these times.
Maroon Bells – these are one of the most photographed mountains in America, for a good reason. This is an absolute must if you’re visiting Aspen!
Drive Independence Pass up to the Continental Divide. This Pass is only open from late May to late October, so be certain the road is accessible before you begin the drive.
Take the Silver Queen Gondola to the top of Aspen Mountain. If you go in the summer, check the schedule for yoga classes or concerts, or do some snowshoeing or skiing in the winter.
Walk around downtown, soaking up the stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the Victorian styled architecture. There are shops ranging from luxury to chic boutiques, and a farmers market open June through October.
Walk through the John Denver Sanctuary, located next to the Rio Grande Park. Stop to read the rocks that are engraved with his most famous lyrics throughout the park.
Visit Hooch, a craft cocktail bar serving bespoke cocktails and rare spirits.

Betula Aspen – a casual and chic restaurant serving French Pan-American cuisine.

Woody Creek Tavern – a classic but eclectic tavern serving both Mexican and American styled dishes.
CP Burger – a great option if you’re looking for a burger and a kid friendly menu!
Aspen Brewing Company – enjoy some of Aspen’s finest craft beer.
Matsuhisa – a great option if sushi is on your mind.
Brunelleschi’s – serves gourmet pizzas, pastas and salads.
Casa Tua – serves local ingredients through every season.
