Exploring Bainbridge and Poulsbo Island is a must if you are visiting Seattle! Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the beautiful scenery, beaches, parks and wineries these islands have to offer.
You can get to these islands by car, or by taking a ferry. If you plan to take the ferry, drive to Port 52 located in Seattle – this is located close to Pike Place Market. Once you get to the port, you will pay for your ticket, then be directed to enter the Bainbridge ferry line. When taking the ferry, be certain you are aware of the departure times!
Once you get off the ferry, I highly recommend stopping at Fletcher Bay Winery to enjoy a glass of wine. Then continue walking through the city, stopping to enjoy a bite to eat at:
From Bainbridge, drive a 25-minute scenic drive to Poulsbo, a city located on Liberty Bay. Once you’re here, stop at Sluys Bakery to enjoy everything from sourdough bread to pastries!
Spend time on Liberty Bay by renting kayaks or paddleboards, where you may be visited by seals and other wildlife! Or spend the day going antique shopping at a variety of vintage shops located downtown. And be sure to stop at Slippery Pig Brewery for some nachos and a po’mi sandwich to end the day!
