Valentine's Day Cake

This Valentine's Day Cake is one of the easiest and tastiest cakes I've ever made. Impress your sweetheart by baking this cake to share with them this Valentine's Day!

Ingredients

Valentine's Day Cake

  • 2 ½ cup organic flour
  • 1 ⅓ cup coconut sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter pasture raised
  • 2 pasture raised eggs

Frosting

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter pasture raised
  • 1 ½ cup organic powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350° F. Grease and flour two 8-inch round cake pans.  
  • In a medium sized mixing bowl, combine the flour, coconut sugar, baking powder and salt. Mix well.
  • In a separate medium sized mixing bowl, combine vanilla extract, milk, butter, and eggs. Mix well.
  • Gently fold the wet ingredients within the dry.
  • Divide the batter evenly between the baking pans. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cakes come out clean.
  • Cool in the pans for 10 minutes. Remove cakes from pans and cool completely on wire racks before frosting

Frosting

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk.
  • Frost the top and sides of the cake with the prepared topping. 
  • Cut raspberries in half and strawberries in the shape of a heart. Enjoy!
